Patrick Anderson enters the Pennsylvania State Bowling
Association Hall of Fame for his contributions to
the game of bowling.
Patrick bowled in 18 PSBA
Tournaments, 14 ABC Tournaments, and
innumerable local and regional tournaments. During his 33 years of
organized bowling, he had twenty-one 300 games, six 299 games, and
one 298 game. High series include eleven 800's (with a high of 835)
and more than two hundred fifty 700's. Patrick also holds a year
high average of 231.
Patrick holds many titles within
the local association including seven team championships, seven
doubles championships, two singles championships, and three all
events titles. In the PSBA Tournament he bowled a 300 game in 1990
at Plaza Lanes, winning a new Pontiac Sunbird, and placed third in
the actual doubles division with Artie Fink in the 1996 PSBA
Tournament in Altoona. Patrick also placed first in the team event
in the 2000 PSBA Mixed Tournament held in DuBois.
His other titles saw him finish ninth
out of 501 top amateur bowlers from around the world in the first
American Dream Classic held in Elk Grove IL in 1982. He placed
second in the Greater Pittsburgh All Star Bowling Tournament
defeating future PBA Senior star John Hricsina in head to head match
play.
Patrick was inducted into the Altoona
District Hall of Fame in 1999, his local association, where he
served as President, Secretary, Treasurer, and League Delegate at
various times. He was Association Secretary in 2001-2002 and
Director from 1993-2001. He served his association as Committee
Chairman for it's banquet, scholarship and tournament committees for
several years.
For his outstanding contributions to
the game of bowling, it is a pleasure to induct Patrick Anderson
into the Pennsylvania State Bowling Association Hall of Fame.
