 1998 PSBA Hall of Fame Inductees

HENRY K. BLOUGH, JR.

Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania

Henry Blough entered the Pennsylvania State Bowling Association Hall of Fame for his outstanding bowling achievements. Henry is one of the top bowlers in the Lancaster and Harrisburg area.

Henry has an outstanding record on the local, state and national levels. Locally, he has many titles in the Harrisburg and Lancaster Bowling Association Tournaments. He was a member of the 1978 A.B.C. ,Team All Events Champions. Henry has been bowling with the P.B.A. Seniors tour for four years, qualifying for match play in the top 24 at least 20 times. His highest finish was a seventh place. He and his daughter have the record for being the first father & daughter to roll 800 series nationally. He has rolled 16 300 games, over 200 700 series and 3 800 series. He is a member of the Lancaster County Hall of Fame.

MICHAEL G. SHENESKY

Zelienople, Pennsylvania

Michael Shenesky entered the Pennsylvania State Bowling Association Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to our Association and the game of bowling.  

Mike is very active on the national, state and local level in our sport. He was elected an an American Bowling Congress Director in 1980, a position he still holds today. In this position he serves on many important committees within the A.B.C. On the state level, he has attended every P.S.B.A. Convention since 1968 and continues to be an active member of our family. In 1971 he was elected as a Western Area Director and also the Chairman of that group. After going through the Vice President's Chairs, Mike was elected in 1984 as the youngest President of the PSBA. As a member of the Advisory Board, he has served on every committee at one time or another. Locally, Mike serves the Beaver Valley B.A. as Secretary Treasurer, a position he has held for over 10 years. Mike is also a proficient bowler with over 75 700 series to his credit as well as many tournament championships. He has maintained a 192 average for 27 ABC tournaments.

AL SPOTTS

Sinking Springs, Pennsylvania

Al Spotts entered the Pennsylvania State Bowling Association Hall of Fame for his ability in the game of bowling. 

Al has thirty sanctioned 300 games, well over 300 700 series and 3 800 series to his credit. He was the first bowler in A.B.C. history to roll back to back 300 games in 1982. In 1997, at the age of 56, All was a member of the PSBA Team Scratch and Handicap champions, was the PSBA All Events Scratch Champion and was a member of the PSBA Scratch Seniors Team Champions. As Scratch All Events Champion in 1977, he represented the PSBA in the prestigious ABC Masters tournament this year in Reno. He has four Eastern Senior Tournament titles to his credit and has won many titles in the Reading B.A. tournaments and also in other Eastern Pennsylvania tournaments. He is a member of the Reading and Pottstown B.A. Hall of Fame and also the Berks Chapter Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
