1996 PSBA Hall of Fame Inductees

Robert Kellenberger entered the
Pennsylvania State Bowling Association Hall of Fame for his outstanding
contributions to our Association and the game of bowling.
Bob has been and still is active on the
state and local level in our sport. On the state level, Bob has
attended the P.S.B.A. convention since 1953 and continues to bean
active member of our family. In the 1972 - 1973 season, he served as
P.S.B.A. President after going through the Vice President chairs. Bob
has served on every committee at one time or another. He is a member of
our Advisory Board and attends all Board meetings. Locally, Bob now
serves the Reading B.A. as an Advisory Board Life Member. He was the
Reading B.A. President and also served as its secretary from 1951 to
1958. He is a member of the Reading Hall of Fame. As a bowler, Bob
rolled in the first 20 State Seniors Tournaments and was the 1971 Class
B Singles Champion.

Joseph Nagy entered into the
Pennsylvania State Bowling Hall of Fame for his ability in the game of
bowling. Joe has bowled in over 35 P.S.B.A. tournaments and over 40
A.B.C. tournaments. Most of his achievements came in the 1950's
and 1960's. However, in the 1996 P.S.B.A. Championship tournament in
Altoona, he teamed with his son, Joe Jr., and rolled a 1368 scratch
total. In 1993, at the age of 75, he compiled a 202 average. He holds
championships in various Tournaments all over Eastern and Central
Pennsylvania. Far too many to list here. He was the Doubles Champion in
the 1987 P.S.B.A. Seniors Tournament. He has rolled at least three 300
games and his list of 700 series are too many to count. He was inducted
into the Philadelphia Hall of Fame in 1981 and has been an outstanding
bowler over the past 40 years.

John Till enters the Pennsylvania State
Bowling Association Hall of Fame for his outstanding bowling
achievements.
John is one of the top bowlers in the
Greater Philadelphia area. John has rolled 12 300 games (5 sanctioned),
78 700 series and a high series of 836. He has four P.S.B.A. titles to
his credit; Singles Champion in 1960 and leading the Food Fair team to
titles in 1964,1968 and 1970. His Food Fair team finished in Second
Place in the 1968 American Bowling Congress tournament. He won the Dom DeVito Classic Singles in Chicago, Illinois in 1960. John has many
other championships to his credit including Lebanon Dutchmen, South
Jersey B.A., Philadelphia B.A. and Lower Bucks Co. B.A. He was inducted
into the South Jersey Hall of Fame in 1986, the Philadelphia Hall of
Fame in 1987 and the Lower Bucks Co. Hall of Fame in 1995. He has
appeared on many TV bowling programs in the Philadelphia area. |
